Krista + Mark | Seagate Beach Club Wedding, Delray Beach

Saturday was one of those spring days in Florida where the weather looked threatening, with looming clouds and spitting rain… but despite everything managed to hold off for Krista + Mark’s elegant wedding celebration at the Seagate Beach Club in Delray Beach. Anne MiceraApril 1, 2012 - 10:24 pm

Krista, Just received these yesterday from Anne Marie. What a memory! The rain (did it happen?) was just a teasing blip. Krista, you were the princess! The photos captured your elegance. (Mark was endearing too), but you were the classic Krista.
The elegant shoes, the flip-flops, the upside-down bouquet, the “hot sand” sign, the thoughtful place cards, the attractive place settings – all part of the event.
The wedding – I have to single out Celia and Stella. They were priceless! Of course, you and your bridal entourage, and your so-happy parents were ecstatic. The black and white shots were startlingly effective.
Loved the group dancing shots at the wedding. Loved to see everyone dancing the night away and enjoying it. Also cherished the memorable picture of the inimitable Ernie and Celia writing a wedding wish to you.
I could write a book. Thanks so much and happiness always. Love, Aunt Anna & Uncle.

OMG–this was such an epic event for all!! I think the pictures so perfectly capture soft and quiet moments, comic moments and masterfully capture the joy in everyones heart, right on each face that night…Can we we do it again–maybe next year?? Love and Joy Forever, annemarie

Stephanie + Jim | Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens Wedding

The weather: perfection. The locations: stunning. The bride and groom: super excited!

We had a fantastic time with Stephanie and Jim on their wedding day earlier this week. (Seriously. We can’t stop talking about it!) Returning to the beautiful Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens in West Palm Beach, Em spent the afternoon with Stephanie and her girls getting ready for the festivities.  Steve hung out with Jim and the guys while they got ready at JC Harris on Clematis Street, a men’s clothing store that has been in the family for nearly 100 years. After getting dressed up the guys strolled down Clematis to grab a quick drink at Wine Dive (a local bar that just happened to be open in the middle of the afternoon on President’s Day).

After a laughingly-happy-kissing-and-shoe/watch-showing First Look we explored the Sculpture Gardens for some private portraits of the happy couple before the ceremony began. As the sun set a slight breeze picked up, reminding us all of how ideal this winter weather was for an outdoor ceremony; saying their vows with close friends and family, Stephanie and Jim then made a quick getaway in a Rolls Royce Ghost, with Steve following closely behind in our not-quite-as-elegant VW CC. ;-)

We began the second half of the evening at 51 Supper Club in Palm Beach Gardens, a restaurant with throwback style that screams “1950′s glamour” (with a quick stop at the carousel in the center of Downtown at the Gardens). After an evening of dinner, dancing, cake cutting, laughter, toasts and our PogoBooth (operated by the fabulous Jessica), Stephanie and Jim bid their last guests farewell and walked across the bridge to their hotel. And we, being classy photographers, practically followed them into the elevator before saying goodnight.

Our heartfelt congratulations to Stephanie and Jim on starting a beautiful marriage with an awesome party. :-) – Em + Steve

Christine + Austin | Mar-a-Lago Palm Beach Island Wedding

Emily had the opportunity to work with Huy Nguyen of Love, Unscripted as his second shooter last fall. What a fantastic experience! The couple from New York, Christine and Austin, were charming and adorable together, and their guests enjoyed an incredible evening of dinner and dancing at the opulent surroundings of Mar-a-Lago, a Palm Beach landmark for nearly a century.

Click below for Emily’s best shots of the day (and be sure to check out Huy’s blog post, linked above!). Many thanks to everyone involved for a memorable event!

Lowery + Brian | Jupiter Island Engagement Session

Lowery and Brian came all the way from Texas to meet with us while planning their wedding (coming up this June! Can’t wait!). We had scheduled their engagement session for a narrow window of time while they were in town for a few short days– Monday afternoon. And of course, South Florida goes and does that rare winter thing… it rained!  All day! And thunder, and… ick. So we planned the only bit of time they had left before their afternoon flight home on Tuesday, and aimed for sunrise, hoping that the 30% chance of showers would hold off for a while (and brought big umbrellas just in case).

We arrived at Coral Cove Park for the first part of their shoot just before the sun was supposed to come up. It was gray, fairly overcast, and the tide was super high (which actually made for some pretty awesome water-splashing-on-the-rocks action!). And then, amazingly… the sun came out! And stayed out for the rest of the shoot, in gloriously glowing morning light. We headed over to the private home in Jupiter Inlet Colony where they are planning on having their wedding this summer and had fun running all over the grounds. But our favorite part by far was how this cute couple interacted with each other: smiles, laughter, glowing happiness. Can’t wait to see you both in June! (And click below for more images from the session!)

Stephanie + Jim | Naples Engagement Session

We joined Stephanie and Jim in Naples for their engagement session before the holidays and had so much fun! We wandered through Tin City, 5th Avenue South, and wound up at the local beach for a spectacular Gulf Coast sunset over the water. Thanks to this happy couple for inviting us to your part of the state– we can’t wait to see you for your wedding in February!
