We’ve been looking forward to this shoot for years! Julia + Carlos were married way back in 2009 (before the Pogos were married, and before we renamed the business Pogo Photo), and we’ve been hoping for a family shoot with them ever since. Well, baby Linus is finally here! We met with the whole family (including sweet Doe Bear, who wore her own tiny wedding dress years ago), and had absolutely perfect weather in the park in Jupiter. We’re so happy that we get to watch families grow like this! Click below for more favorites of this sweet family, and click here for the full gallery.
This session means a lot to us… Jeremiah and Steve have known each other since high school, a friendship that has stayed steady despite crazy work schedules and growing families (need an AC guy? Jeremiah is the best. Leave a comment for contact info!). Jeremiah + Ashley’s wedding was one of the only ones we’ve attended (since we usually shoot them!), and we’ve been trying to get them in front of our lenses since we found out they were expecting. Time marches on, and suddenly baby Shelby is three years old. She’s such a little spitfire, and definitely takes after her Daddy! We had a great afternoon with them in the park, exploring, running, shouting and jumping. Click below for more of our favorites, and click here to be notified when the full gallery is available.
Alright, so we weren’t quite finished with Nicole + Scott (if you haven’t seen their wedding post, click here to check it out). The day after their wedding we took some time to wander around Naples in more casual clothing (Nicole had a reception dress she never had a chance to wear… perfect!). As much fun as we always have during the nerves-stretched-tight excitement of wedding days, day after sessions have an amazing feeling of relief: the stress of planning, guests, family, everything just melts away and for a couple of hours it’s just snuggling and basking in the fun of being brand-newlyweds. The weather was gloriously Floridian “winter”; sunny, perfectly breezy, and occasionally a bit too “cold” without jackets, but we made do. We meandered around 5th Avenue South (where brunch-drunk tourists stumbled across sidewalks in droves at .04 MPH), and ended up in the gardens by the hospital for a few shots amongst the trees. Thanks and much love to such an awesome couple, we’re [still] so excited that you chose us as your photographers. :-)

We love what we do. We honestly feel that we have the best job in the world; we meet great people and get to be creative during an incredibly beautiful and emotional time in their lives. Overall we tend to book clients who we’d be friends with, so we’re generally really happy campers! Then once in a while we get a couple like Nicole + Scott who make us remember just how lucky we are. At first they could only hire us to shoot their engagement session; they were planning their wedding at a Bahamian resort that expressly forbids outside photographers. After their sunrise session on the beach the four of us went back to our home office and laughed together for hours. When they left we were smiling, but a little sad… we wanted to be a part of their wedding day!
Day after their session we received an email from Nicole. To sum up: Bahamas was out, Pogos were in. BEST EMAIL EVER. We excitedly booked their wedding for Naples, Florida and have been grinning every time we thought of them since. Which is all the time, since we’ve come to associate ampersands (“&”) with these cuties, and we see ampersands everywhere we go now. (And yes, we tend to use plus signs “+” instead. It’s okay! We can coexist.)
So that brings us up to last weekend… and yes, their wedding lived up to our expectations. Wonderful friends, family, and other vendors; beautiful locations; perfect weather (which Steve arrogantly “guaranteed” ten days out– sheer force of will can influence meteorological events, right??). We went to bed grinning each night and have been doing so all week. Once upon a time there was a good girl who liked to ride her scooter to the club by the ocean. One day she arrived to find a bad boy on his classic motorcycle. One thing led to another… and bam! They’re getting married. (Or at least that’s the story we’re telling today…)
Lisa + David blew us away with their elaborate, well planned engagement session ideas. We love how they incorporated things they love (David’s 1941 Indian 4, the adorable café in Jupiter where they had their second date) and how their faces light up when they see each other. Can’t wait for their wedding at the Breakers coming up soon! Click below for some of our favorites, and click here to be notified when the rest of the images are available.
