Casual engagement portraits on Palm Beach IslandWe strive to capture the style and personality of all of our clients, and involving a beloved pet can be the perfect way to make your engagement portraits unique and very personal to you. We often ask our clients to dance, play, and interact; this deep dip was an unexpected moment, made all the more sweet by Colleen and Jeff's sweet puppy looking up questioningly. The choice of a very shallow depth of field and a telephoto lens for this image isolates the subjects, while Colleen's fun and funky yellow strappy heels make for an unexpectedly fun pop of color against the denim, white, and green grass that comprises most of the image's palette. Jeff's look of adoration speaks volumes, his full attention on his bride to be. The location is clearly Floridian, with subtly out of focus palms in the far distance behind them; this session took place on Palm Beach Island, an excellent location for a wide variety of engagement portraits. This session took us to this park by the waterfront overlooking the intracoastal waterway to West Palm Beach next to the Flagler Museum, a beautiful and historic wedding venue, and also over to nearby Worth Avenue, which is much like the East Coast’s version of Rodeo Drive, with fancy shops, soaring palms, quaint historic buildings, and delicious restaurants.
