Detail photograph of Badgley Mischka

Rustic weddings in Vermont can still have all of the elegance of a cosmopolitan event, but they have a special feel to them that can't be ignored. The crisp, fresh air of a summer morning in Vermont is unlike anywhere else, with cooling breezes rustling the towering maple and oak trees, and real windows that actually open allowing that delicate wind to swirl through getting ready spaces, bringing a connection with the great outdoors that can be missed in a city wedding. Rustic farmhouses and elegant old inns alike have a unique feel to them that defines a destination wedding in Vermont. Finding a Vermont wedding photographer who can capture the feeling of being in Vermont while still recognizing that you have details you'd like photographed with a tie in to your venue is essential. We work primarily in a documentary style, photographing events as they unfold while remaining a fly on the wall, but we often have some extra time to work with details at the beginning of the day, and finding creative ways to display something like a fancy pair of Badgley Mischka wedding heels that still showcases the venue, the weather, or some other aspect of the day is something we find very enjoyable.
