This bride's mother and sister assisted her with the final touches on her preparations on the morning of her wedding day, just prior to getting in the car for the ceremony at a nearby church in Orlando, Florida. The tradition of having family members prepare you for your wedding day dates back into unwritten history, and is one of the few traditions that doesn't feel antiquated. Not every bride wants people helping her, but many do; having the people helping be members of her beloved family made the morning even sweeter. Even if you're having a makeup artist, hair stylist, and wardrobe specialist help you with most of your preparations, save a few key details for your mother or other person close to you to assist with. The personal attention may seem overbearing when you think of it in advance, but in the actual moment it's incredibly soothing to be tended to by the people who know you best.
This image is purely documentary; the bride's preparations took place in her family home in Orlando, not far from the church where the ceremony would take place soon after. When documenting moments like this we may ask that you move to a better lit part of a room, but often we just stand back and click when the magic happens.
